Teranga Graduate Program

Program Overview

In 2012, up to 3 students will be selected from top undergraduate and graduate schools of geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering and related fields to join Teranga as Graduate Geologists working for the Senegal Mining Company (SMC) and Senegal Gold Operations (SGO) - subsidiaries of Teranga Gold Corporation in the Republic of Senegal.

The Graduate Program pairs a student, one-on-one, with an exploration project manager or senior geologist as his/her mentor. Each graduate will have the opportunity to work with expatriate and Senegalese geologists and drilling contractors.

The list of vacancies for 2012/2013 will continue to grow. In the application, you will be asked to indicate which position most interests you and the reasons why. We expect numerous applicants for each position and therefore ask that you please complete your application with as much detail as requested. A review committee will match final candidates with appropriate positions and recommend these to the hiring manager who will interview and make a final selection.

Class Standing
All graduates must have an undergraduate or post-graduate standing in a Science degree and be enrolled as a final-year student during the 2011/2012 (i.e. you must be in school at least until the end of the fall semester in 2011).
